History of Program

 

                                         

In 2017, the Ashley Hall Board of Directors formed Horizons of Ashley Hall with the vision to develop a partnership with a proven national leader in summer learning to advance educational equity in the greater Charleston area. The program officially launched in the Summer of 2018, welcoming 30 female students in rising 1st and 2nd grade to the Ashley Hall campus in downtown Charleston. The program has grown steadily over the past 5 years, and in 2023, we welcomed 105 girls from rising 1st grade through rising 7th grade for a free 6 week summer learning program.
