Horizons Adventures: Week 5

Greetings from Horizons!

This week the girls have been very busy. On Tuesday, all the students went to see the movie Small Foot. The girls enjoyed the movie and the delectable snacks! The girls worked in STEAM on various projects. On Thursday, the students put on a big performance for the their families and friends. Afterwards, they showed their families their classrooms and enjoyed a nice potluck dinner. The girls have done an amazing job of conquering goals set at swim and in reading. The girls have started to work on diving and ventured into the deep end in swimming. This week, the girls met their reading goal of 60,000 words before the week was over. By the end of the week, the girls exceeded reading 70,00 words. We had a visit from a police officer to read a book to the girls and teach them about safety. The students keep working hard and having fun along the way!
