Horizons Adventures: Week 4

Greetings from the Horizons at Ashley Hall!

This week the students have been working on various projects and learning so much along the way. In STEAM, the students created solar ovens to cook smores. They were able to enjoy their sweet treats afterwards! The girls have been working on AR reading goals each week and they surpassed the reading goal this week of reading 50,000 words!  In music, the girls are working on preparing for a performance for their parents next Thursday for parents night. On Friday, the whole camp took a field trip to the Children's Museum. When they returned from the field trip, the girls spent some time playing in the sprinklers. The girls enjoyed another fun filled week at Horizons!

Horizons Fun Filled Fourth!

The week of the fourth the students had a blast! The girls visited Nimbos Pizza where they learned how to make dough, create a pizza from scratch, and of course eat lots of yummy pizza. Wednesday was full of fun with a huge slip-in-slide, homemade firecrackers in STEAM, and music classes with Ms. Moore. The girls had an amazing time exploring the instruments and learning Gullah songs and dances with her. We are looking forward to another great week here at Horizons!
